Sour Cream Donuts ( Featured in Women’s Health and Fitness AUS Feb 2016)

I can’t believe I had thought I posted this MONTHS ago…… My apologies. It’s “healthier” but it’s not “health food” lol. It IS however quite tasty…. sooooooo I WIN:) I was asked to create a donut recipe for a magazine to be published on their mobile version, and this is what happened:) Donut DRY INGREDIENTS

1.5C Gluten Free flour or flour of choice

1 scoop Unflavoured plain MAGNUM QUATTRO

1/4C Organic Cane Sugar

1/2 tsp Baking powder

pinch Sea salt

 

WET INGREDIENTS

1/4C apple sauce

1/4C Sour cream, I used light

1/2C almond milk

1/4C coconut oil, melted

 

HOW

Mix all dry together. In a different bowl, mix all wet together.

Add wet to dry and mix well, but be sure to NOT over mix and toughen the dough.

Pour into prepared donut shapers and bake for 8-10 minutes @350

Remove from oven, and remove each donut.

Gently and quickly using tongs, drop one donut at a time into a pan of hot coconut oil.

Pan fry each donut, both sides and immediately roll in a combo of cinnamon and cane sugar.

Be sure not to burn yourself!!!!
