Superfood Smoothie Bowl

It’s Summer….. well it’s trying to be summer, at least here in Victoria.

I am a protein pancake JUNKIE and it’d better be something damn good to take me away from that morning meal. I had this beauty this morning as a trial attempt and I think I have a new love. At least until the chilly mornings come back.

Here’s what you’ll need:

(Smoothie)

2 C (frozen) green mix – I used dark kale and spinach with 2 Mint leaves

1 1/4 C Coconut milk – either full fat ( thicker texture) or light – I went light so I could have Peanut Butter later  LOL

*You could also use Almond milk to lighten the fat content*

1/2 small (frozen) avocado – to make this easier, pre cut and freeze your chunks

1/2 C frozen blue or black berries

1 tsp Spirulina / chlorella / blue green algae or supergreen powder of sort – You could use MAGNUM nutraceuticals Performance Greens if you have that handy

1/4 C black sesame seeds – Jam packed with health benefits – will blog about these next

2 Medjool dates, pit removed

1 tsp Cinnamon

 

(Topping)

All are options, you don’t need all of it.

1 Tbsp Hemp seeds

1 Tbsp Goji Berries

banana slices

1 tsp black sesame seeds

mint taste

Drizzle honey over the entire thing

 

HOW TO:

Blend all the Smoothie ingredients until nice and thick, pour into bowl and sprinkle the toppings over the top, Enjoy
